Sheng Pu'er is a variety of Chinese Pu'er tea that undergoes natural fermentation and ripening over time. Also known as "green" or "raw" pu-erh. This tea is made from one of the different varieties of the tea bush Camellia sinensis and has a unique processing process.
Shen Pu'er differs from Shu Pu'er, which is also known as "ripe" or "post-fermented" Pu'er. Unlike shu puerh, shen puerh is not subjected to an active post-fermentation process, and its production process resembles the process of green tea production.
Shen Pu'er is usually characterized by a fresh, grassy taste with light fruity or floral undertones. However, over time, it can acquire more complex aromas and change its taste due to the process of natural aging and fermentation. Shen Pu'er is also often sold in the form of large tea plates or cakes.
